Annali di Stomatologia invites authors to submit manuscripts for the Special Issue “The Digital Transformation of Orthodontics: Evidence, Innovation and Clinical Applications”, focusing on evidence, innovation and clinical applications of digital transformation in orthodontics.

Topics of interestSubmissions may address, for example:

end-to-end digital workflows (data acquisition, planning, manufacturing, quality control);

virtual set-up and computer-assisted treatment planning;

CAD/CAM and 3D printing in orthodontics (models, trays, appliances, materials, accuracy/quality);
-
biomechanics and predictability of movements in digital treatments (e.g., aligners);
-
digital tools for follow-up and remote monitoring;
-
standardization, reproducibility, clinical outcomes, and patient-reported outcomes in digital care pathways.
The journal publishes original research manuscripts, review articles, and other invited content in odontostomatologic fields.
Key editorial requirements-
Peer review: double-blind; multi-stage process including editorial checks (including similarity/plagiarism screening).

Abstract: max 300 words, single paragraph, structured-style without headings.

Keywords: 3–10 (preferably MeSH).

References: numeric citations in [ ] before punctuation; ACS style; DOI mandatory in all references.

Figures/Tables: included in the text and uploaded during submission; min 1000 px or 300 dpi; preferred TIFF/JPEG.

Transparency: Author Contributions, Funding, and Conflicts of Interest statements required (if none: “The authors declare no conflict of interest.”).

Originality: not previously published nor under consideration elsewhere.

Permissions: permissions and credit lines required for reused published materials.
Articles are immediately open access.
An APC of Euro 800,00 (plus VAT/local taxes where applicable) applies upon acceptance (unlimited number of figures and tables).
Articles are published under a Creative Commons license; license information is displayed on article pages.
