All-on-four rehabilitation in patient with type II diabetes mellitus: case report and literature review

Authors

Abstract

AIM: The increase in the average age of the population leads to an increasing incidence of many different systemic diseases, often associated with partial or total edentulism. In particular, diabetes plays a significant role in patients’ implant-prosthetic rehabilitation, as it has a direct effect on the oral cavity. The aim of this case report is to illustrate the rate of implant survival, marginal bone loss and any intraand post-operative complications in patients with type II diabetes, undergoing fixed prosthetic rehabilitation according to the All-on-Four method, in a two-years of follow-up.
